Hairs the thing

This here is a mid week reminder to those that have that impulsive urge to lean in to touch a Black woman’s hair, please don’t.

Cornrows, Afro’s, box braids, Bantu, weave ins, wigs, curly perm, locs, etc, admire with eyes not hands. Touching a stranger isn’t right. Walking up to someone and sticking your hands in hair. Wrong.

Whilst stood in conversation yesterday, a pair of eager hands came at the side of my head. I swiftly managed to bat one hand out of my hair and the other I had to push down, all in quick succession.

So remember…stick hands firmly in pockets, or on your own head.
