Before - Kitchen

The kitchen was still a traditional utilitarian affair as was the fashion in Edwardian days. The highlight was the original floor tiles, but there wasn’t much else to love about this room. It was going to take a lot of work to make this the modern heart of our home.
No amount of scrubbing was going to make me feel that this area was clean. But we had no choice and just had to get on. I struggled as ABC was so young and I wanted to make sure everything was clean, everywhere... 2 long months stripping it back! With no working cooker, Cookie invested in a BBQ... so no matter the weather and what ever it was we ate it was flame grilled!!
